Who we are:

The Irish American Hockey Association:

A group of successful business men and woman tahroughout North America who are proud of their Irish Heritage and are looking to give back to the land of their forefathers by spreading and promoting the great game we all grew up with: Ice Hockey. The IAIHA strives to promote game of ice hockey in the Free Republic of Ireland through philanthropic as well as educational means and reaches out to all 4 corners of the prettiest country on earth.

Pictured to the right are board members of the Irish American Hockey Association presenting a $25,000.00 check to the Boston Bruins Charitable Foundation during a recent Boston Bruins vs Philadelphia Fylers Game at the Boston Garden.

Funds raised in 2008 by the Irish American Hockey Association also help fund the James Michael Curley Center in South Boston ($2,500.00 check) and the South Boston Youth Hockey Organization (also a $2,500.00 check). Pease visit our website: www.IrishAmericanHockeyAssociation.com for additional charitable events that Irish Hockey has been instrumental in working with over the past 5 years.

The IAIHA is in the process of establishing a movement with the realistic goal of raising $250,000 worth of new and used equipment to outfit the kids of Ireland with functional hockey gear in order to make the game accessible to all of the children of Ireland.

The Irish American Hockey Association and its member community are dedicated to promoting the game of ice hockey in Ireland and tirelessly donate their time and energy to support and develop programs to introduce and promote the game of ice hockey throughout the Free Republic of Ireland.

A major source of support of the IAIHA is through present and former NHL and College Hockey players (US and Canada) who are looking to give back to their Irish heritage through philanthropic and physical contributions to the Republic of Ireland.

More than just donating their time, these athletes are raising awareness of the game of ice hockey and are giving their efforts and energy to the country of their forefathers through outreach programs that benefit the youth of the US, Canada and Ireland and the game of ice hockey.

These individuals are instrumental and are donating their time and energies in hopes that the kids of Ireland will develop the same passion for the game of ice hockey that the kids from North America enjoy on a daily basis.

The IAIHA is working closely with John Breen, Town Manager of the city of Killarney, as well as a number of other city and goverment leaders throughout Ireland, in order to facilitate the vision of creating additional hockey opportunities for Irish children throughout the Free Republic of Ireland. One of the main objectives of the IAIHA is to provide the children of Ireland with every opportunity to enjoy the game of hockey as we have in the US and Canada. Through major used hockey equipment drives and donation of new hockey equipment by US and Canadian Companies throughout the US and Canada, we're well on our way.
